In the last hours, the RAC1 radio station in Catalonia reported that five players and two members of the Barcelona coaching staff tested positive for coronavirus in the first tests that were carried out on campus. The note adds that it was in a blood test at the beginning of the pandemic and all were asymptomatic. As of today they are already recovered and are available for the return of La Liga next week.
This information was not disclosed by the club nor in the reports of the Spanish competition. In fact, the official information that had been known days ago was that the culé campus was clean. RAC1 adds that there was concern in the medical and technical staff with the cases due to the fact that with the resumption of the practices, those affected could be more susceptible to injury.
This Monday the collective work of Barcelona was restarted, whose first match is scheduled for June 13, visiting Mallorca.
