Fitbit focuses on the whole

In a press release from Fitbit, we can e.g. read the following:

«After a year of uncertainty and restrictions, home office and less activity and greater physical strain, our view of what strength has been challenged. Being strong in today’s society is more than how heavy you can lift or how fast you can run. It’s also about mental strength and how we deal with adversity. “

With this as a starting point, Fitbit is now launching its most advanced health and activity meter to date: Fitbit Charge 5

Charge 5 is the company’s first activity meter with EDA sensor (a sensor that measures small changes in the level of sweat on the skin.) The changes may be due to stress or other factors such as movement / activity. There is also an ECG to keep track of heart rate, GPS, 20 different training modes and automatic training detection. According to Fitbit, this makes the Charge 5 one of the smartest activity meters on the market.

According to Fitbit, the Charge 5 is ten percent thinner than its predecessor, has up to seven days of battery life and a lighter color screen.

Daily Readiness

Ahead of this autumn’s launch, Fitbit introduces its new service for Premium users: Daily Readiness. The idea behind this feature is to create greater awareness of personal health as a whole, not just focus on exercise.

In the Fitbit app, your data is collected (sleep, activity and stress level), and every morning you get one stresshåndteringspoengsum which you can use as an indication of whether you should exercise or perhaps take a day off. You also get an analysis of what affects your points and what you can do to possibly feel even better.
