A fisherman, whom they identified as Joel Albornoz, was killed in the middle of a protest over the supply of gasoline at a station on the island of Toas, Almirante Padilla municipality, on the afternoon of this Thursday, July 16.
Eleisi Espina Almarza, from the AD trade union movement, said on Twitter that “they condemned the murder of the young fisherman Joel Albornoz”, registered on the aforementioned island of Zulia.
Also, through a tweet, the journalist Miguel Ángel Román said that the death occurred “when the fishermen were confronted with coastguards and GNB that guarded the gasoline station.”
For the death of Albornoz they point to a military official.
