On Saturday in Serie A there will be a summit between the league leaders and the peat factory. Leader Inter Milan receives Atalanta Bergamo, the currently most dangerous team in Italy, and defends its series of eleven games without defeat en suite. Bergamo trainer Gian Piero Gasperini is particularly motivated to break the successful run of the “Nerrazzuri”.

Bergamo currently has the best Serie A attack. The club, which surprisingly advanced to the round of 16 of the Champions League, holds 18 goals after 48 goals, ten of which fell in the two most recent 5-0 Kanterheim wins against AC Milan and Parma. Fiorentina had 48 goals or more in the 1958/59 season after 18 rounds.
This underpinned the team of coach Gasperini – who also plays their home games in the Champions League at the Meazza stadium – in their current top form, five of the last six league games ended victoriously. “The team has grown a lot, we are having a good time,” said the 61-year-old. Inter is therefore warned, also because there were three points in the direct duel that did not last three times. Two games ended goalless, Bergamo also won 4-1 at home last season.
Inter can submit
Gasperini has always been particularly motivated before meeting the “Nerazzurri”, as the Italian was released there after only five games at the start of the 2011/12 season. Atalanta is fully involved in the Champions League ranks again this year and is fifth with 34 points. Inter and the defending champions Juventus Turin, who are behind because of the poorer goal difference, are missing eleven points.
Inter defends a series of eleven unbeaten games in which eight wins have emerged. The Milanese also got off to a good start in the new year. In the first game in 2020, the “Nerazzurri” won the SSC Napoli 3-1 last time. Austria’s team player Valentino Lazaro was not in action, but the 23-year-old outside player is hoping for a seventh appearance in the Italian upper house in a duel with Atalanta Bergamo.
Defending champion Juventus is only in another hit at the fourth-placed AS Roma (35) on Sunday and is also aiming for the second victory in 2020 after the 4-0 win over Cagliari. The duel of Third Lazio Rome (39) with Eighth SSC Napoli (24) is also eagerly awaited the day before. Napoli has lost two of the first three games under his new coach Gennaro Gattuso.
