First Week of 2022, Foreigners Record Net Buys of IDR 2.19 Trillion and Purchase These Shares

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed up 1.82% to 6,701.31 during the first week of stock trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2022.

Foreign investors noted net buy amounting to Rp. 2.19 trillion this week despite concerns about an increase in Covid-19 cases due to the Omicron variant and after the US Central Bank The Fed signaled an acceleration of tapering.

However, foreign investors continue to buy up shares on the IDX with banking stocks being the most collected. The following stocks are mostly collected by foreign investors.

Foreign investors noted net buy largest share in PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) for a week of Rp 682.99 billion. BBCA shares closed up 4.79% to Rp 7,650 per share during the week. The total trading volume of BBCA shares reached 468.78 million with a transaction value of Rp 3.51 trillion.

Shares of PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) is also widely collected by foreigners amounting to Rp 503.42 billion in a week. ARTO’s shares shot up 17.50% to Rp 18,800 per share this week. The total trading volume of ARTO shares reached 221.48 million with a transaction value of Rp. 3.93 trillion.

Foreigners also bought up a lot of shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) of Rp 457.87 billion. BBRI shares rose 1.95% to Rp 4,190 per share. The total trading volume of BBRI shares reached 653.84 million with a transaction value of Rp 2.73 trillion this week.

Shares of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) is also being hunted by foreigners for Rp. 316.9 billion. EMTK shares closed up 8.33% to Rp 2,470 per share during the week. The total trading volume of EMTK shares reached 305.38 million with a transaction value of Rp. 743 billion.
