A 54-year-old priest from Vienna has tested positive for Covid-19. He is said to be working at a mission college in Ober St.Veit.
The health status of the 54-year-old is, according to the circumstances, good. However, due to a previous illness, he was admitted to hospital for treatment as a precaution.
Vienna seminary not affected
As the Archdiocese of Vienna notes, the Missionary College is not the seminary of the three dioceses of Vienna, St.Pölten and Eisenstadt in Boltzmanngasse in Vienna. Before this, a holy mass is currently broadcast on ORF III every Sunday. “All residents are healthy,” says the church. The archdiocese included those affected in prayer and hoped for a good outcome.
