Director Zack Snyder was originally in charge of making Justice League (Justice League, 2017), but a family tragedy led him to resign in the middle of production, being replaced by Joss Whedon.

This led to the story that Snyder originally wanted to tell, who also directed Man of Steel (2013) and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), to be completely changed.

The theatrical release received an avalanche of criticism and marked the end of the DC Comics Extended Universe (DCEU) as originally planned.

Since then, fans made multiple campaigns for Warner Bros. to release the original version devised by Zack Snyder, as they have to hope that it is better than the one we already know.
