First LGBTQIA+ Gathering in Thionville: Osmose Association Takes a Stand Against Far Right and Violence

This is a first in Thionville. This Saturday, June 3, opposite the La Scala cinema, near Place de la Liberté, the very young Osmose association intends to “gain visibility”, by organizing an LGBTQIA + gathering. A first queer meeting, which is part of Pride month (month of pride) in June, and in which the Messin Trans’gressive collective will participate.

The opportunity to “appropriate the public space, to meet the public, and to speak against a backdrop of demands”, announces Océane, co-president of Osmose. “The themes addressed will include the rise of the far right in France and around the world, with the impact it has on the community. It will also discuss the violence suffered by LGBTQIA + people and more generally by young adults, and finally the daily struggles of transgender people. »

“The important thing is to be present on the ground”

For an hour, the public will attend a colorful event, with flags and signs, open to all. “Never mind the number. The important thing for us is to be present on the ground. The message got through.
