First in Florida, then in Texas: missing person is found twice in sewers

First of all, the police report of missing persons in the Texas Grand Praire is no different from other cases. Local authorities searched for Lyndsey Kennedy, 43, through a Facebook post. But it is not the first time that the woman is missing.

In March, Kennedy wanted to go swimming near her boyfriend’s house in Florida. She later told the local police that she was “confused” and went into a sewer system before she was also found missing there. According to her own statement to the police, she stayed in the shafts there for three weeks.

Missing people fled from the police into the sewer system

History seems to be repeating itself: Your family told the American portal “CBS12 News” that Kennedy actually only went to Texas for a cure. She ran away a week later and was reported missing. The Texan police finally discovered the missing woman near a stream. But when the woman saw the officers, she fled into a nearby sewer.

Fortunately, Kennedy’s last location was found by her family using a smartphone app before the 43-year-old stepped into the underground passages. But the search was unsuccessful. The family was so desperate that they threw packages of food and isotonic drinks into manholes.

Call for help from the manhole

On Saturday evening the time had finally come: A passerby watched the woman want to climb out of the canal, get stuck and call for help. After calling 911, Kennedy was able to climb out of the 1.8 meter wide shaft and was taken to a nearby hospital under psychiatric supervision.

According to her family, the woman suffers from psychosis and post-traumatic stress disorder and is believed to have been abused in her previous relationship. The family also announced to “CBS12 News” that they hope to be able to take Lyndsey home with them so that they can relax near family and friends.
