KOMPAS.com – Xiaomi officially launched its newest entry level smartphone, Redmi 10C in Indonesia. Redmi 10C was introduced in Indonesia on Monday (18/4/2022).
This phone complements the two Redmi 10 series models that were already marketed in Indonesia, namely Redmi 10 and Redmi 10 2022.
In Indonesia, the Redmi 10C (4/64 GB) is priced at a lower price, which is IDR 1.9 million. While the Redmi 10C (4/128 GB) is sold at a price of IDR 2.1 million.

In terms of packaging, the Redmi 10C comes with the same sales box design as other Redmi phones.
For example, the packaging is still dominated by white. Not to forget, there are also product photos on the front which show the screen design and the back of the Redmi 10C.
When opened, the contents of the Redmi 10C sales box are also standard. The contents consist of a cell phone, a USB A to USB C cable, a 10 watt charger adapter (head), a SIM card ejector tool, a user manual, and a warranty card.
There is also a “love letter” from Xiaomi Indonesia Country Director Alvin Tse.
However, not as usual. This time, Xiaomi did not include a softcase accessory in the Redmi 10C sales box in Indonesia.

6.7 inch large screen

Now, the Redmi 10C screen uses a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel and supports HD Plus resolution (1,650 x 720 pixels). In comparison, the screens of the Redmi 10 and Redmi 10 2022 are only 6.5 inches.
The Redmi 10C’s large screen size has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages, for example, are that users can enjoy content, whether movies, games, or browsing on a wider screen on the Redmi 10C phone.
The drawback, the operation of the phone with one hand feels less comfortable. Because, the thumb of the right hand does not reach the application in the far left corner of the cellphone.
Nevertheless, in general, Redmi 10C is still comfortable to hold with one hand.
On paper, this latest entry-level phone from Xiaomi has dimensions of 169.59 mm in height, 76.56 mm in width, and 8.29 mm in thickness. Its weight is 190 grams.
The Redmi 10C screen is surrounded by a fairly thick bezel. This makes the body-to-screen ratio (screen-to-body ratio) to only 82 percent.
On the top side of the screen there are also waterdrop-shaped bangs that contain a 5 MP selfie camera (f/2.2).

New back design, striped
Xiaomi has also overhauled the back design of the Redmi 10C so that it is fresher. The reason is, now, the back of the Redmi 10C is decorated with a striped motif. The previous Redmi 10 model had a plain back, without any motifs.
In the upper left corner of the phone’s back there is also a fairly large square-shaped module. Inside, there is the “Redmi” brand and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Not only that, inside the large square module there is a smaller square module. The smaller module contains a 50 MP (f/1.8) main camera and a 2 MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, as well as an LED flash.

Because it is made of plastic, the back of this phone is easily exposed to fingerprints. However, cleaning it is also easy, just wipe it with a cloth or tissue.
When rubbed, the back surface of the Redmi 10C feels quite too slippery so it is feared that it is prone to slipping out of the grip. Alternatively, users can use a softcase purchased independently.
Because, Xiaomi does not include a softcase complementary accessory in the Redmi 10C sales box.
To support its performance, Xiaomi provides Redmi 10C with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset which is designed with a 6nm fabrication process.
The chipset released in October 2021 relies on a Kryo 265 CPU with a clock speed of 2.4 GHz and an Adreno 610 GPU.
In terms of software, Redmi 10C already runs the Android 11 operating system and is coated with Xiaomi’s latest interface, MIUI 13. Because it is already running MIUI 13, this phone is also equipped with the RAM Extension feature to increase RAM capacity up to 2 GB.-On paper, the Redmi 10C chipset is slightly more capable than the previous model, the Redmi 10. This is because the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset used in Redmi 10 has a lower clockpseed of 2 GHz.
In Indonesia, the Snapdragon 680 chipset on the Redmi 10C is combined with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of media storage.
The RAM capacity on this phone can be increased up to 2 GB with the RAM Extension feature. So, the total RAM that users can enjoy is up to 6 GB.
While the media storage capacity on this phone can also be expanded up to 1 TB with an external microSD card.

Redmi 10C favors the battery sector with a fairly large size, which is 5,000 mAh. The battery is supported by 18 Watt fast charging technology.
On the software side, this phone runs the Android 11 operating system and is coated with Xiaomi’s latest interface, MIUI 13. Other features that the Redmi 10C brings include Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.55mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
