The fire that starts in Vasco Gil since two in the morning, has the precious help of the fire-fighting helicopter that has been in Madeira since June 1, under the Operational Program for Combating Forest Fires (POCIF).
Remember that just like the DIARY advanced this morning, the fire breaks out in an area that is difficult to access and brings together elements from the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters and the Sapadores do Funchal that are in the area.
The intense smell of smoke is felt in several areas of Funchal and has put the population on alert.
