Fire Department Ideas

It is often not easy to plan a fire drill: the vehicle or the topic is clear – but the ideas for practical use must first come to mind. So who provides the ideas for firefighting exercises? The fire department magazine series “Little Exercises” offers suggestions and many suggestions – it appears regularly in the magazine and is also conveniently available for immediate download.

What is special: The exercises for the fire brigade can be carried out with little effort – they were written by fire brigade practitioners and tested by fire brigades and found to be good. Each part contains up to twelve exercises on completely different subject areas. The exercises are designed so that they can be adapted to the local conditions of each fire brigade with little effort.

91 episodes have already appeared in the series “Little Exercises”

The suggestions are always structured according to the same scheme: 1. A short introduction. 2. Strength and equipment. How much staff is needed for the exercise? What resources can be used to practice? 3. Exercise: What happened? What situation do the emergency services face? How should the exercise work? What commands does the head of operations issue? 4. Self-protection: Which protective measures (according to UVV fire brigade) must be observed during this exercise? 5. Exercise goal: What should be achieved with this training unit?
