Volunteer firefighter Jorge Esteban Franco Ruiz Díaz, 43, was the victim of an assault that occurred Sunday morning on Cadete Boquerón Avenue near South Access, in the city of Ñemby, Central Department.
According to data from the Police, Franco Ruiz Díaz opposed the theft of his motorcycle by unknown persons, whose further details are unknown.
Commissioner Carlos Inchausti explained that the firefighter was going to work when he was injured with a firearm during the assault.
