A man was arrested for the fire that broke out late on Friday night (29.3.2024) in Ymittos.
According to the police, this is an Iranian who is suspected of the fire that broke out in Ymittos.
As announced by the Fire Brigade: “A foreigner was arrested today, in the early hours of the morning, as part of the spontaneous procedure, by Officers of the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes (D.A.E.E.), as being responsible for intentionally causing a fire, inside forest area, on Mount Ymittos, above the Holy Monastery of Agios Georgios Koutala Attica”.
The arrested person will be brought before the competent prosecuting authorities today.
