Monday at 16.09 State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) received a call to Rupniecibas Street in Olaine, where a hangar was burning and a strong outburst developed, according to information published on the service ‘s microblogging site “Twitter”.

As Kristīne Kļaveniece, a representative of the State Environmental Service, informed LETA, the fire broke out in the territory of Olaine chemical plant “Biolars” in the paint and enamel production workshop. At present, chemicals do not burn. An environmental inspector has left for the scene.
