On 18 October a car caught fire on the A8 between Rohrdorf and Achenmühle.

The message in full:
On October 18 at 1:45 pm, a BMW caught fire on BAB 8 in the direction of Salzburg. of the 62-year-old driver from the Traunstein district drove his car from Munich to Salzburg. In addition to the driver, his people were also in the vehicle wife and mother-in-law.

Update, 14:55 – No injuries
According to local information, the car completely burned down, but the cause of the fire is unknown. Fortunately, the occupants of the vehicle were able to get out of the vehicle in time and were not injured, as Rosenheim traffic police announced when asked.
The highway maintenance department is on site and checks if further repair work is needed on the road. Meanwhile, the rescue work continues and traffic is diverted past the crash site.
Update, 14:33 – lane reduced to one lane
