A fire broke out on a balcony of a flat for the elderly in Valkenswaard last night. A chair was on fire. The resident of the flat on St. Antoniusstraat saw the smoldering chair and threw it over the balcony, at which time the fire brigade had just arrived.
The woman managed to leave her house through the back and was not injured. The cause of the fire is unknown, the resident had no idea how the chair caught fire. According to a 112 correspondent, a fire recently broke out in the same house, then it was a pan on the fire. The flat then had to be evacuated.
