“The choice was difficult, there were so many beautiful things. We were led to add a special jury’s favorite prize, ”explains Michel Cibois, departmental president of CMA 28, who presented the prizes, accompanied by Mickaël Tachat, head of professional markets at Crédit Agricole Val de France.
Twenty-five dragonflies sewn or embroidered on the coat
The jury’s favorite prize was awarded to the hanchois luthier Philippe Gouez for the creation of a custom-made acoustic guitar. A piece made from different types of wood, which required “250 hours of work”.
A stained glass artist from Eure-et-Loir won the Eurelian prize for crafts
The grand prize winner of this 2021 edition is Anne-Sophie Huart-Toniazzi, who won the 2021 Departmental Crafts Prize for the design of a cape coat in boiled wool and velvet, covered with twenty-five sewn or embroidered dragonflies.
Graduated from a textile engineering school in Roubaix (Nord), this 43-year-old Chartraine specialized in styling and model making, after having worked for five years in the logistics department of a textile spinning factory in Cambrai. (North).
“My two grandmothers were sewing. I started at 8 years old, ”says Anne-Sophie Huart-Toniazzi, honored to receive this award.
