In his need, Peter turns to the powerful magician Dr. Strange, who is supposed to make the world forget that Peter Parker exists. But the spell fails and villains from other dimensions suddenly appear. All of them are enemies of Spider-Man, but Peter doesn’t know a single one of them.
The special: The trailers already give it away: For “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, the production team rummaged around deep in the superhero’s cinematic past. Because before Tom Holland there were other actors who slipped into the role of “Spider-Man”. Some of the villains from these films reappear in “No Way Home” and should delight fans of the old films. It is nice, however, that viewers who do not know villains like Doctor Octopus or the Green Goblin have no problem following the plot. At most you will wonder why the person next to you in the cinema is grinning so broadly.
Conclusion: Surprise – for a Marvel superhero movie, Spider-Man: Now Way Home is surprisingly calm. Of course there are some nerve-wracking action scenes, but the characters also get enough time to talk to each other and process things. The fact that things can get very emotional at times is a great advantage of the film. “Spider-Man” fans should not miss his new adventure.
