How I became a guerrilla
The topic is closely related to the director’s family. She knew from her grandmother the story of her great-grandfather, who was a Romani guerrilla. Because he was in the resistance, a family of six was murdered during the war – two babies, two older daughters, a wife and a mother. He himself was in a concentration camp at the time and only found out about it when he got home. After the war, he remarried a woman with a similar fate – the Germans murdered her men.
