Mohamed Abu Al-Ela, the Egyptian national team doctor, revealed the scenes of the last November camp, which witnessed a bite from muscle injuries and corona alike.
Abu Al-Ela stated through the country echo: “The technical staff of the Egyptian national team performed an additional smear yesterday, and it came out negative.”
And he continued: “Those who were infected with Corona in the camp are Salah, Al-Nani and Coca .. After them, the positive sample of Sharif, Jaber and Al-Winch appeared, respectively, and since the symptoms appear in a period between 3 to 5 days, I cannot confirm, positively or negatively, that they were infected in the camp.”
He revealed: “Our primary goal is to prevent an outbreak of infection in the camp, and to control the owners of positive samples early.”
Abu Al-Ela justified the training of neni in Togo despite having already contracted corona: “It was beyond our control because we performed the swab when we arrived in Togo, and its results were delayed and we did not reach us until after the end of the training, taking into account that his scan 16 hours before that was negative.”
He continued: “When the matter is under our control, the situation is different in the November 9 smear in Egypt. The result of the swab was delayed by two hours, and accordingly we postponed training for two hours in agreement with Hossam El-Badry, and the players did not move towards the stadium until after the results of the swab appeared.”
And he turned to talking about Mohamed Salah’s injury: “Did Salah get Corona at his brother’s wedding? Maybe yes and maybe no, it cannot be confirmed.”
He continued: “Should he have attended his brother’s wedding in the circumstances of the epidemic? I will speak in general as a doctor, if it was my brother’s wedding, I will attend and adhere to the precautionary measures, but in all cases we cannot confirm whether the wedding was the source of infection or not.”
He also explained the case of Coca, who is still suffering from the virus so far: “Coca is in good health. We subject him to swabs successively until his sample turns negative and then he can travel to Greece.”
Abu Al-Ela touched upon the reports that accused him of wrongly diagnosing Taher Muhammad Taher and causing injury to Muhammad Hani and Ayman Ashraf.
Abu Al-Ela said: “These people who produce these reports come from another planet, or they think that I am maybe Israeli. The word wrong diagnosis provokes me because there are rays capable of determining the degree of infection, this is terribly false.”
He continued: “Ayman Ashraf complained of fatigue and wanted to complete the match, but Hossam Al-Badri preferred to be taken out immediately.”
He added: “Mohamed Hani complained about his injury after the match, which is a minor injury by the way and he is already training. He even wanted to travel with us to Togo, and this was our right according to the regulations, but we did not resolve with stubbornness and acted wisely in the interest of the player and we preferred to return to his club.”
He concluded: “My diagnosis of Taher’s injury is a second-degree strain in the front muscle, and its absence lasts for about 3 weeks.”
