FilGoal | News | The Football Association: We will open an investigation into the letter of summoning Ramez, may God protect him … and try to make the African final with 10,000 attendees

Walid Al-Attar, Executive Director of the Football Association, revealed the intention of the Jabaliya Board of Directors to open an investigation into the incident of sending a letter to the English Millwall Club to summon Ramez, God protect him, to join the Egyptian youth team.

Al-Attar said on “Ontime Sports”, commenting on the letter: “On Saturday, we will open an investigation and it will not take much time. The wording of the letter sent was wrong, I admit that.”

He added, “I do not want to say any unnecessary justifications, we want to know what happened to avoid that mistake in the future.”

Abu Raida and enough elections

When asked about whether the Football Association was late in supporting its former president, Hani Abu Raida, in the race to run for the presidency of the African Union, “K”, he replied, “No, we are not late.”

He explained, “We did not delay in supporting Hani Abu Raida if he wanted to run for the presidency of the African Union. If we were asked for support, we would definitely not delay.”

“Abu Raida is our pride,” he added.

Africa final

When asked about where the African Champions League final will be held between Al-Ahly and Zamalek on the 27th of November, he replied, “It was supposed to be held in the Burj Al Arab stadium, but after the news of the bad weather, we try to return it to Cairo.”

“The security authorities agreed, and we are now addressing the African Union, and I do not expect any problem to arise, especially as the two clubs are Egyptians,” he added.

“We are also trying to obtain permission from the African Union and health authorities to attend 5 or 10 thousand people to attend the African Champions League final,” he added.

The new season and Club Egypt

When asked whether the new season will start before the end of the Egyptian Cup for the current season, he replied, “We will not finish the cup first, and then the new league will start.”

And about whether Masr Club intends to change its name before meeting Zamalek in the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup, he replied, “No, he will play the match in his current name.”

And he continued, “Even if his name is changed, he will not be able to complete the matter before the meeting because these procedures take a lot of time.”
