Mohamed Salah may be absent from Liverpool for 4 months next season due to the postponement of the Olympics.
Sports activities have stalled in most countries of the world due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, and it appears that the Olympic Games scheduled in Tokyo this summer are on the way to postpone to 2021.
According to the newspaper “Daily Star”, there is a proposal to hold the Olympic Games in the spring of 2021, after the establishment of the African Nations Cup, to be held in January and February of next year in Cameroon.
According to Mohamed Salah’s desire to participate with the Egyptian team in the Olympics, as well as the representation of Egypt in the African Nations Cup, his participation in both tournaments may make him absent for a long time from the 2020-21 Reds season.
Juergen Klopp had previously commented on the establishment of the mid-season African Championship as a “catastrophe” because it represented the departure of its most prominent star.
Salah has scored 16 goals this season in 26 Premier League games, and the Reds are the closest to winning the league title for the first time in 30 years, before the competition stopped due to the Corona virus.
