Sayed Moawad, the assistant coach of the Egyptian national team, spoke about the many issues and challenges facing the technical staff, led by Hossam El-Badry, in the coming period.

He added, “Of course, the level of the teams is not good, but it is not bad at the same time. We seek excuses for the players for the length of the suspension period, and I am confident that the level will be better with the passage of time, as Zamalek in the second match against Al-Ittihad was better than the Al-Masry meeting.”
Regarding the phenomenon of the escalation of a large number of young players since the resumption of the league, Sayed Moawad said, “The experienced players are of great importance, but the youth component is very important for the replay, the factor of speed and strength is required, and it will be useful to the team in the coming period if 4 players were discovered who were not in the picture from Before”.
He added, “As for the negatives of the recent period, it is the amount of muscle injuries among the players due to the pressure of the league table.”
And he continued, “In all honesty, all these difficult circumstances did not meet on any previous technical apparatus of the national team, including stops, delays and injury to a large number of local and professional players, in addition to the long stoppage due to Corona, we have started our mission in the first two camps with a forced list and the use of elements we were not fully convinced. Out. “
When asked about the possibility of using Mohamed Abdel Shafi in the left-back position, the coach replied, “The criterion for the technical staff remains the giving and the performance and whoever benefits the team the most regardless of his age or club, and as long as the player is international and maintains his level, he will definitely have a role.”
He stressed, “Of course, we have concerns about the striker and all positions, but we are discussing and seeking solutions and alternatives, because there is no player who guarantees his place or gives us the impression that he will reserve his position in the national team for the next four years, but the levels are close.”
Sayed Moawad added, “We also have an evaluation problem, and we find those who are calling for the inclusion of a player in the national team just for his good performance in two or three matches, but the most important factor remains continuity, as the international player is the one who maintains his level for ten matches and not appearing spaced out.”
Is the presence of Mohamed Salah a burden on the coaching staff? Moawad answered at the conclusion of his statements, “Football is a team game that depends on 11 players. Certainly Salah, Hegazy and Trezeguet play a big and influential role because they are international for some time, but the rest of the players should help them.”
No date has yet been set for the international agenda of the teams, and the Egyptian national team had tied in its first matches against Kenya and Comoros, which put it in third place after the leaders Comoros and Kenya, the second.
