Chelsea manager Frank Lampard believes that his American player Christian Policic can reach levels of stars the size of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Police joined Chelsea last summer from Borussia Dortmund for 64 million euros.
“I think he can be a great player, because he starred at such a young age in Germany and made a great move to Chelsea,” Lampard said in comments highlighted by Sky Sports.
“The expectations are clear, but we have to take into account his young age,” he said of the 21-year-old.
“If he looks at the players who made a big leap in their career, he will have the ability to reach the levels of players such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Liverpool players and Rahim Sterling, Manchester City winger.”
“Policic knows what to do to reach this level, as he certainly has the talent that enables him to reach that level,” he added.
“There is no doubt about its potential, we can see it and it is very keen to improve,” said the Chelsea legend.
The American International is the second blue scorer in the league this season with 7 goals, although only 13 games have started.
