Liverpool legend Steve Nicole blamed the team’s attacking trio after a disappointing draw with West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
Liverpool tied against West Bromwich with a goal for each team in the 15th round of the English Premier League.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino could not escape severe criticism after West Brom drew in the last minutes of the match.
“We applauded the attacking trio before and said how cool they are and how they can produce something out of nothing,” Nicole told ESPN.
“You know, these are the kinds of games where you have to win that kind of compliment,” he said.
He stressed, “Going and playing in a big atmosphere against big teams is one thing, but when it comes to courage, Salah, Mane and Firmino are the reason behind Liverpool’s failure.”
He added, “Yes, Mane scored the goal, but then? Especially Salah, who dodged towards the opponent about 15 times and stopped about four or five times.”
“Firmino was also not there to change the outcome,” he concluded.
