The former Liverpool, Wigan and England national star Emile Heskey revealed Wigan players reaction to Amr Zaki, the former Egypt and Zamalek star.
“When Amr Zaki came to us and we saw him in the exercises, we admired why he joined the Wigan class,” Heskey said on OnTime Sports 2.
“But after we saw what he was doing in the matches, we learned why the club contracted him.”
“He was distinguished by his strength, speed and header, and also he was able to perform fixed kicks and scored a great goal in the net of Liverpool.”
“He was great and did a great performance in his season with Wigan, but he was injured and then left the team.”
On Mido, he said: “Mido did very well when he came to Tottenham when he was very young coming from the Dutch league.”
“He had great technical skills and Tottenham fans were talking about it well and I was enjoying his game.”
He concluded his remarks, “but he did not appear on the same level with Wigan.”
