Tottenham knocked out – after a red card and penalty

The London exchange against Crystal Palace became a nightmare for Tottenham. The league leaders fell 0-3 – after receiving both a penalty and a red card against them.

Tottenham have had a strong start to the season and top the Premier League with nine points after four games. In the London derby against Crystal Palace came the season’s first star bang.

A pale Tottenham mostly had to devote themselves to defensive play in the first half – and in the beginning of the second they lost their composure completely.

Japhet Tanganga was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. And five minutes later, the 22-year-old midfielder received his second yellow card of the match, which meant that Tottenham were forced to play with one man less.

They did not manage that at all.

Crystal Palace pushed forward and finally got a penalty with them after Ben Davies took the ball with his hand. It managed Zaha in the best way by placing the lead goal.

In the 84th minute, debutant Odsonne Edouard extended the lead to both 2-0 and 3-0, which was also the end result.
