Denmark qualified for the World Hand Cup quarter-finals officially, and secured the top of their group after defeating Japan.
Denmark beat Japan 34-27 at the Cairo stadium hall, in the second round matches of the second group of the main round of the World Hand Cup, Egypt 2021.
Denmark fought the match without stars Mikel and Johan Hansen injured, but that did not prevent her from winning.
Japan struggled in the first half, ending in favor of Denmark by two goals, with a score of 19-17.
In the second half of the match, the Japanese steadfastness continued, until the difference widened in the last quarter of an hour, to reach 7 goals, and Denmark won with a score of 34-27.
The victory raised Denmark’s score to the eighth point at the top of the group standings with the full score, to ensure qualification to the quarter-finals and officially first place in the group.
On the other hand, Japan froze at one point, and they were officially deposited the tournament.
Denmark will face Croatia in the final round, while Japan will play Bahrain on Monday.
The leader of the Egypt Group meets the second of this group, while the second group of Egypt meets the leader of this group.
