Amir Mortada, General Supervisor of the Football Sector at Zamalek Club, and Ahmed El Shennawi, Pyramids goalkeeper, were present today, Sunday, in a meeting with the grievance committee to discuss the goalkeeper’s grievance.
The committee listened to the statements of the two parties, before making its decision to temporarily stop the punishment imposed on Ahmed Al-Shennawi by the Disciplinary Committee.
The committee temporarily suspended the punishment imposed on Al-Shennawi, until its final decision is announced later.
The Disciplinary Committee had decided to fine Ahmed El-Shenawy an amount of 10 million pounds in favor of Zamalek Club, before the former Zamalek goalkeeper submitted a grievance to the grievance committee.
Ahmed El Shenawy played for Zamalek from 2014 to 2018, before moving to the Pyramids team before the start of last season.
The 29-year-old has participated in 16 matches this season between the League, the African Confederation and the Egypt Cup.
