Essam Salem, the official spokesman for Zamalek club, stressed the strength of the White Castle position by withdrawing from negotiations with Saint-Etienne on the inclusion of Mustafa Mohamed.
Salem said via On Time Sports 1: “The management of Zamalek won the battle of Saint-Etienne and scored a goal, no stronger, and preserved the club’s dignity because it is more than millions.”
He added, “Mustafa Mohamed and Ferjani Sassi are on the list of the El Gouna match, and their participation in the coach’s decision.”
He continued: “We achieved distinguished results in previous matches without Mustafa and Sassi, and therefore they will be a great addition to us and make the team more powerful.”
He continued: “The match is very important because El Gouna is one of 3 teams in the Egyptian League that has not lost until the moment.”
He concluded: “We want to win against El Gouna in order to be the only leader in the league, and we want to invest Al-Ahly’s tie with Al-Ahly Bank. This is the honorable competition.”
Zamalek had issued a statement announcing his withdrawal from negotiations with Saint-Etienne, after the latter’s president accused some parties of demanding commissions in the deal.
