FilGoal | News | Amir Azmi Mujahid reveals for the first time the details of his stumbling move to Milan

Amir Azmi Mujahid, the current and current coach of Zamalek to Egypt Club, revealed the details of his move to Milan, Italy, and the reason for the failure of the deal.

Amir Azmi Mujahid spoke to “Studio 93.7” on “On Sport FM” today, Wednesday, saying: “I did not like to talk about this incident to mock any player who reveals that he was close to moving to a major European club.”

He continued, “The beginning was in the winter of 2001, after my participation in the World Cup for Youth with the Egyptian national team. The agent of Mohamed Al Yamani, called Valerie, came with both Italian and Belgian nationalities. He watched me playing one of the matches with the young Zamalek.

“Everyone was trying to sign with that agent at the time and the opportunity came to me and he offered me to participate in a friendly tournament with Perugia in Italy during the league break in the winter break, and it is not a condition that you are restricted to participate in that tournament.”

“I already traveled with him and participated in a friendly meeting, and he was watching Mbara Tassotti, one of the coaches of the Milan junior and assistant Carlo Ancelotti at that time, and he offered me and my agent to come to Milan, and the transfer would have been for the junior team at that time.”

“We went to the city of Milanello where the team is training and I stayed in a room there and trained with the reserve team, and we won a quad in front of a Norwegian team, I remember,” continued Amir Azmi Mujahid.

“I swear to God this happened and I am not lying. I used to see the stars of the first team in front of me, like Maldini, Dida and Shevchenko,” he stressed.

And one of the officials came to me one day and said to me, get dressed, you will train with the first team, I was at the top of my horror, whoever I see on TV, I play with them now.

“After that, we entered the office of Milan’s CEO, Adriano Galliani, and I met one of the club’s officials there, and I saw on the wall pictures of Van Basten and Rod Juliet.”

Amir Azmi continued, “Milan sent a letter to Zamalek asking for my admission for the juniors and wanted to know the price. Zamalek responded at the time that Kamal Darwish was managing that the club wanted to get 200 thousand dollars.”

“Milan saw that the price was exaggerated for the young player and my agent told me he tried to become free and move on, but the matter was not complete.”

“I do not like to talk about that story, but it happened between the two World Cups for Youth, as I participated in the championship in 2001 and 2003 and it happened in January winter 2002,” Amir Azizi concluded.
