Issam El-Hadary, Egypt’s historic goalkeeper, sent a message to Ahmed Fathi, the right-back for Al-Ahly, after his departure from the Red Castle was confirmed by the end of the current season.
Al-Hadary wrote through his official account on the social networking site “Twitter” today, Wednesday: My friend and brother Ahmed Fathi Saadet, and I had the honor to play next to you and share with us the championships in Al-Ahly and Egypt, and I would like to end your career in Al-Ahly and not fall into the same mistake.
Before turning to you, “But this is professionalism, this is football, and I wish you continued success wherever you are.”
Al-Ahly announced the departure of Fathi after he refused to officially renew his contract, which ends at the end of the current season.

Ahmed Fathi joined Al-Ahly from Sheffield United in 2007 and the Joker player has since left the Red Castle twice.
The first time was in 2013 when he moved to Hull City for six months on loan.
The second time was in 2014 when he left in a free transfer deal for the Qatari league and joined Umm Salal team for three seasons.
That was before he returned to Al-Ahly again in a free transfer deal after his contract with Umm Salal was canceled.
Ahmed Fathi was crowned with Al-Ahly nine times for the Egyptian League, once for the Egypt Cup, and four Egyptian Super Cups.
Zafar also won with Al-Ahly the three-time African Champions League title and the same number of African Super Cups.
