Syed Abdul Hafeez, director of football in Al-Ahly, described the cabinet decisions to gradually open the clubs, beginning in mid-June, as a “positive and encouraging step.”
Al-Ahly issued an official statement before explaining from his point of view the necessary reasons to resume the activity (see it from here), and after the cabinet decisions, Abdul Hafeez told FilGoal.com: “He is very satisfied and welcome with the decisions of the cabinet.”
“They are important and positive decisions, and are optimistic about the hopes for the resumption of activity and the return of the exercises,” he added.
He pointed out, “Those decisions should be built upon, as they constitute a cornerstone and a basis for action in line with the vision of the state, and the balance between preserving the health of the citizen and the return of the production wheel.”
The Ministry of Sports had issued a decision to suspend all sports activities until the end of May due to the Corona virus, but Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, announced the opening of sports activities gradually starting from mid-June.
The Prime Minister revealed at a press conference that sporting activities in clubs and youth centers will be opened gradually from mid-June.
Football activity in Egypt has been stalled since March 14, due to an outbreak of the Coruna virus.
Al-Ahly is in the lead with 49 points from 17 games, followed by Arab contractors with 33 points from 18 games, then Pyramids with 32 points from 18 games, then Zamalek comes with 31 points from 16 games.
