Mustafa Mahmoud “Afroto”, a former Al-Ahly player, revealed that he was on the threshold of professionalism in Uzbekistan, had it not been for the Corona Virus crisis.
Afroto said: “I was on the verge of moving to an Uzbek team that plays in the AFC Champions League.”
“I was in a period of living and everything was going well, and I was expected to join them last April,” he added in his remarks on OnTime Sports 2.
“But because of Coruna, everything stopped, and now I’m a free player.”
And details of his departure from Al-Ahly during the period of Manuel Jose after the latter decided to dispense with him, along with a group of other young players as well, Afrotou said: “I was very sad to leave Al-Ahly, I was walking well.”
He pointed out, “My dream was getting bigger in front of me and suddenly I left without reasons,” Our house was as if it was in a dead “and not just that I left my family.”
The 31-year-old touched on the desire of Zamalek to include him after his departure from Al-AhlyHe said, “During the time Hossam Hassan took over Zamalek, the club spoke to me to join the team.”
And he continued his speech by saying: “I refused because I am a man who loves and loves Al-Ahly and is loyal to Al-Ahly”
“It is certainly a great honor to play with Zamalek, but it was very difficult for me, and so I refused.”
