According to information from journalist Jeff Grubb, the most famous football simulation game will soon be called “EA Sports Football Club”. We do not yet know what would be the first “FIFA” concerned.
The war between Electronic Arts and FIFA doesn’t look like it’s going to be resolved. On his GrubbSnax show dedicated to video games, journalist Jeff Grubb indicated on March 24, 2021 that he learned from a reliable source that FIFA will become “EA Sports Football Club” in the coming months, with the new nickname “EA Sports FC”.
The formalization of this name change would be imminent and would allow EA Sports, after years of tension with FIFA, to regain artistic control over its franchise with, why not, variations of the game. EA Sports Football Club would be the new name of this footballing family, and we already hate it.
