FIFA 22: EA corrects full-back meta

Alphonso Davies, Kevin Mbabu, Trent-Alexander Arnold, Ferland Mendy and whatever their names are. For a long time, these were the best central defenders in FIFA 21. All FIFA players know that it doesn’t make any sense and is far from realism. But you had to use this trick to survive online against strikers like Kylian Mbappé, Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. “Normal” center-backs, who are absolutely world-class in real life, were left out. Sergio Ramos, Virgil van Dijk, or Mats Hummels are simply too slow – so the small and nimble full-backs were placed in the middle. There was no need to be afraid of headers here, because they are useless in FIFA 21. With FIFA 22, the meta should turn around.
