“I think they have their best partners here, intellectually, commercially, in every way; I think if they are going to have partners who are going to be able to give them positive accounts, it is us in all aspects,” said the director of “The reborn” and “Birdman”.
“We love Mexico, we love everything we represent and we fully understand that cinema is an art but it is also an industry,” he said.
The winner of the Oscar, With Guillermo del Toro (“The shape of the water”), Alfonso Cuaron (ROME), Monica Lozano, president of the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and other filmmakers and producers, convinced Delgado to leave Fidecine.

Cuarón recalled the positive impact of Mexican cinema abroad, being an ambassador for culture.
“It has had an indisputable impact not only on tourism, even on the consumption of products consumed in our country,” he said.
During the meeting organized by Sergio Mayer, president of the Committee on Culture and Cinematography of the Chamber of Deputies, the director of Imcine Maria NovarOr, he recalled that last year more than 200 films were made.
And that tomorrow the 2019 Statistical Yearbook of Mexican Cinema will be launched virtually, so that everyone knows the positive aspects of national cinematography.
In the morenista initiative, doomed to modify several laws, the Cinematography and the repeal of articles alluding to the Fidecine were touched.
Fidecine supports the production, distribution and exhibition of Mexican films. Among those who received this support are No returns, Kilometer 31 and Side effects.
