FF Lehenrotte – It took almost 1,000 hours to build

Traditionally, the annual general meeting of the FF Lehenrotte took place in the Schönhofer inn this year. Commander Christoph Auer was able to welcome a large number of guests of honor and members and look back on an exciting year in 2023.
Auer and his deputy Florian Diestinger gave an overview of the past year, which was dominated by the construction work on the fire station extension. The Floriani put almost 1,000 hours into the extension. This is scheduled to open on May 4th.

The FF Lehenrotte currently consists of 40 active members, eleven reserve members and eight youth members. This team went on a total of twelve missions and numerous training activities in 2023. In a total of 73 different training activities (excluding competitive competitions), 264 members spent 1,198 hours on training and further education. “Above all, the many realistic exercises have contributed to increasing the Floriani’s participation in the exercises,” says the command. This will be further promoted in 2024.

The comrades from Lehenrotte were also successful in the competitions: 8th place in competition group 1 in the state fire brigade performance competitions in the “BRONZE A” competition as well as the qualification for the 2024 federal competitions in Feldkirch in Vorarlberg were certainly the highlights of the past year. Mayor Christian Leeb and Deputy Mayor Andreas Schubert congratulated the members on their achievements and also promised further support from the community for the expansion.

Partnership anniversary was celebrated

In 2023, the Lehenrotte and Lardenbach fire departments were able to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the partnership at a ceremony in Lardenbach, Hesse. This partnership is one of the oldest cross-border fire department partnerships in the world. In addition to this social highlight for the adults, there was also plenty of fun for the youth firefighters. Two new members were recruited again in 2023. The completed knowledge test and participation in the youth competitions demonstrated the good level of training of the youth, which is led by Petra Riegler. A trip with trampoline jumping and the good results in the state youth ski race and the participation in the camp of the Lower Austrian Fire Brigade Youth were the big highlights of the year. 229 hours were spent in 35 different activities.
