Fewer corona patients in hospital, number of new infections slightly down | Inland

The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) had reported 6109 new cases on Friday, but that was adjusted to 6108 on Saturday. 5651 new cases were reported on Thursday, 5417 on Wednesday and 4681 on Tuesday.

In the past 24 hours, 328 infections were detected in Rotterdam, 308 cases were discovered in Amsterdam, 154 in The Hague, 130 in Tilburg and 118 in Den Bosch. The safety region Rotterdam-Rijnmond had the most new infections with 670. Central and West Brabant had 578, Haaglanden 394, Amsterdam-Amstelland 367 and Gelderland-Zuid 185.

Deaths

The number of deaths from corona increased by 86 in the last 24 hours. That does not mean that all these people died in the past 24 hours. Such information is sometimes passed on with some delay. 54 deaths were reported between Thursday morning and Friday morning.

Hospital figures

The National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution (LCPS) reports that 163 new corona patients have been admitted to the nursing wards in hospitals. 32 patients were added to intensive care. In total, more patients were discharged from hospital than admitted.

A total of 2,125 infected people are in hospital.
