Former Head of the Police Propam Division, Ferdi Sambo, denied being involved in online gambling. Brigadier Joshua’s attorney, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak, said Ferdy Sambo was lying.
“Ferdy Sambo lied, said he was not involved in online gambling,” Kamaruddin said at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, South Jakarta, on Monday (11/7/2022).
He claimed he pocketed an online gambling account number which he accused of Sambo. You said the online bookies had been arrested.
“I pocketed the account number,” he said.
Previously, Kamaruddin had mentioned online gambling when he was a witness at Joshua’s murder trial. However, the judge cut off his statement because it was considered unrelated to the murder case.
“When I investigated this, there was other great information about online gambling and more,” Kamaruddin said while testifying at the trial for the premeditated murder of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (1 / 11). Kamaruddin’s words were then interrupted by the judge.
Ferdy Sambo later denied Kamaruddin’s statement. He admitted that he is not involved in online gambling.
“Regarding the report that she was informed of, I must clarify that I have never involved the institutions in this incident, but personally because it happened. As a task force officer, I deal with drugs, online gambling does not exist, instead I extinguish it” , Ferdy Sambo said in the murder trial. Brigadier Joshua at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (1/11).
