Feiler leaves for Switzerland tomorrow to visit his family and resolve the renewal file for Al-Ahly

Rene Filer, the technical manager of Al-Ahly, will leave for his country tomorrow, Thursday, after obtaining the approval of the club’s management to travel and spend several days accompanied by his family and his wife residing there, and the Swiss coach spoke with Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club’s president during the meeting they gathered last Friday at the island’s headquarters, On several footballing matters specific to the team, the session also included Filer’s request to travel to Switzerland in order to visit his family.

Al-Khatib agreed, in coordination with Al-Ahly Planning Committee, with the request of Feiler, as the technical director will fly to Switzerland tomorrow on a week-long vacation, at most, for the sake of reassuring his wife, especially since the Swiss coach has not traveled to his country since he came to Cairo in late August to train Al-Ahly.

Feiler is scheduled to speak with his wife during the Swiss trip on the issue of renewal for Al-Ahly, especially since the Swiss coach agreed with the management of the Red Castle on the outlines of the renewal, but he postponed the official signature until speaking with his wife on this matter face to face, especially since the renewal of Al-Ahly will entail other things The most important of them is that Fyler’s wife is coming to stay with him in Cairo, so she must be consulted about this.

In the past few days, Feiler contacted the Swiss embassy in Cairo in order to coordinate with her about traveling to his country on one of the aircraft that evacuated some foreign citizens in Cairo in light of the flight ban several months ago against the background of the “pandemic” Corona, which caused the freezing of sports activity in the whole world.

Al-Ahly players are currently conducting home training because of “Corona”, and the Swiss coach continues these exercises through continuous reports around the clock with the players and his assistant through the application “WhatsApp”, which Fyler will do during his vacation in Switzerland.

Al-Ahly’s administration wants to renew Feiler’s contract during the current league stoppage period due to the spread of “Corona Virus.” The contract is scheduled to be renewed for another season other than next season, so that Feiler’s contract with the team will continue for two coming seasons after the current season. Until now, the coach took over the team’s training last September and won with him the local super (version 2019) at the expense of Zamalek, he is currently top of the league and climbed the team to the semi-finals of the African Champions League, while he lost the local super title (version 2020) recently against Zamalek with penalty kicks.

Feiler’s contract with Al-Ahly includes the continuation of the coach and his supporting staff in the second season if he wins both the general league and the African Champions League, but if the team wins these two championships and one of the parties wants to cancel the contract, he must pay a six-month penalty clause, and the contract also includes the parties negotiating again about the continuation of the technical staff In the second season, if he wins one of the league or Africa championships.

Al-Ahly wants to renew Feiler’s contract next season without waiting for the fate of the League and Africa championships to be decided due to the club’s desire to achieve stability for the team after the good successes achieved by the Swiss coach with the team so far.
