A single Uruguayan footballer appears among the twenty-three nominated for the ideal eleven of Fifpro, the international union of professional players, among whom are the Argentine Leo Messi, the Brazilian Vinicius Júnior, the British Jude Bellingham and the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.
The only Uruguayan on the roster is Federico Valverde, the midfielder for Real Madrid and the light blue team.

Luis Suárez does not appear on the list, who had a great campaign in Gremio de Porto Alegre and in Brazilian football.
The nominations for the ideal men’s eleven have been decided after collecting the votes of more than 28,000 professional players taking into account their achievements and merits.
FIFA and Fifpro will announce the world’s best eleven chosen on Monday, January 15 at The Best awards ceremony in London, England.

The team with the most players selected is Manchester City, with nine representatives, one more than Real Madrid, where Karim Benzema was before his signing for Al-Ittihad and the closing of the voting.
The winner of the 2023 Ballon d’Or, Leo Messi, also appears in the nominations for the ideal eleven, as does the Norwegian Erling Haaland, winner of the Silver Ball, and the Frenchman Kylian MBappé, of Bronze.
