Even without Werner, RB Leipzig still has wings

Even without Werner’s orphan, the Germans have managed to climb into the semi where they will face Paris.

We had left them one night when they had been enthusiastic about blowing up Tottenham. One evening when Timo Werner, with a goal and an assist, had embodied this game so sparkling, so dynamic, so pleasant to watch.

Five months later, RB Leipzig returned to the Champions League with the same desire. The same dynamism. The same success too.
