The Spanish playmaker Thiago has made his decision: He wants to leave FC Bayern this summer if possible and switch to another top club. The 29-year-old is by no means cheap, despite only one year of contract duration.
According to “kicker” there is an internal discussion about a transfer fee in the range of 60 to 80 million euros. The midfielder is said to contribute significantly more than he once cost: In summer 2013, Thiago switched from his regular club Barcelona to Munich as the dream player of the then coach Pep Guardiola for 25 million euros.
Where the noble technician could now go is open. Liverpool FC with Jürgen Klopp should show interest. However, it remains to be seen whether the Reds can lay down the transfer fee or negotiate skillfully. Other English clubs or even a return to Barça could also be an issue for Thiago.
