The business jet was flying from Las Vegas, it crashed in a field “across the road from the airport,” the agency writes.
After the fall, the board caught fire, only the keel part of the aircraft was not damaged. The crash killed all six people on board.
The publication notes that the crash occurred as a result of an attempt to land the plane “on instruments” with minimal visibility in the so-called marine layer – dense fog near the surface of the earth.
Authorities have not released the names of the dead, but the crash is under investigation.
Reuters notes that on July 4, around the same area, a small plane crashed with four people on board, then the pilot died, and three teenage passengers were injured.
