Three police officers and a civilian were killed in a two-vehicle collision in the northern French city of Villeneuve-d’Ascq.

“Preliminary data from the investigation support the hypothesis of a head-on collision between two cars. From the video from surveillance cameras and eyewitness statements, it follows that Ala Romeo was driving in the oncoming lane, ”law enforcement officers said.

According to police sources, the driver was driving at a speed of at least 120 kilometers per hour.
