A person died on Saturday in a canyoning accident in the Lodrino Valley (TI), between Biasca and Bellinzona, the Ticino cantonal police said in a statement. She was going down the river in a group of three people.
One of the members of the group disappeared in the water around 4:00 p.m., as a strong storm raged, police said. The alert was immediately launched by one of the people present. The body was found shortly after 5:00 p.m. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
