In a one-sided traffic accident in the Frisian Siegerswoude, a 26-year-old man from Rijswijk was killed on Friday afternoon. A 21-year-old woman from Zwolle who was also in the car was seriously injured in the accident and taken to hospital.

Due to unknown causes, the car on the N917 hit a few trees, after which the vehicle broke in half. The front of the car came to a stop against a tree, the rear ended in a ditch on the other side of the road.

A 26-year-old man from Rijswijk was killed in the accident. The driver of the vehicle – a 31-year-old man with no permanent residence or residence – and the 21-year-old woman from Zwolle who was also in the car were seriously injured and transported to hospital. A dog was picked up by the animal ambulance.

The road in the Frisian Siegerswoude has been closed for a long time, so that a salvage company could remove the wreck. The police have meanwhile investigated to find out more about the cause of the accident.
