Fast Train Project Called Biang Kerok Flood at Padaleunyi Toll Road, This Is PT KCIC’s Response

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Project Fast car Jakarta-Bandung is said to be the culprit of flooding in the toll road Padaleunyi KM 130 on Wednesday (12/8/2020) yesterday afternoon.

Responding to this, the Corporate Secretary of PT KCIC Mirza Soraya said the flood incident was due to high rainfall.

“So that there is an increase in the volume of water during the relocation of the embankment in the area,” said Mirza in a written statement, Thursday (13/8/2020).

According to Mirza, following up on this incident, CREC as the contractor of the Jakarta – Bandung Fast Train Project, immediately took anticipatory steps to restore normal conditions, such as creating openings to reduce the level of stagnant water and pumping the remaining water trapped in the basin area in the area.

“At 20.30 WIB (12/8/2020) the inundation conditions had receded and vehicle traffic was running normally,” said Mirza.

The Jakarta – Bandung Fast Train also continues to coordinate with PT Jasamarga (Persero) Tbk and Bina Marga to overcome the puddle.

“PT KCIC apologizes for the inconvenience caused to road users and ensures that the contractor will complete the embankment construction process this week. Jasa Marga and KCIC continue to monitor and ensure that the contractor’s work methods comply with the applicable standards, “he said.
